Welcome to the Pay by Use project website

This website outlines a research project on pay by use (PBU) domestic waste collection systems in Ireland. The project was commissioned by the Environmental Protection Agency as part of the STRIVE Programme 2007 - 2013

The research is being conducted by the Clean Technology Centre, Cork Institute of Technology and O'Callaghan-Platt Environmental Solutions and will conclude in 2010. It follows on previous research in this field commissioned by the EPA.

The aim of the project is to optimise pay by use systems in Ireland in order to acheive the most successful results from environmental, social and economic perspectives.
